Transition Year Students are invited to join us for an interactive session on careers in STEM and medicine and accessibility for women and girls.

This session will be facilitated by Tammy Strickland with presentations from seven brilliant women in STEMM.

  • Chantal Murdoch (candidate Advanced Midwife Practitioner, Rotunda Hospital)

  • Kathleen King (Medical Scientist, Letterkenny General Hospital)

  • Edel Horan (Product Owner, SAP)

  • Gemma Acton (WITS & Laboratory Manager, Bon Secours Hospital)

  • Kate McConville , Aseptic Filling Technician, Grifols

Women in Medicine
9th November 2021 - 1pm

Dr Laura Kelly and Dr Anne McLellan talk about some of the historical barriers to entry in the medical profession.

Prof Deborah McNamara, Consultant in General & Colorectal Surgery tells us about some of the biases that still exist today and how we can work to overcome them.
